NJIC Girls Basketball Players of The Week

Alyssa Craigwell, Secaucus, So.

Craigwell has been a consistent performer for Secaucus all season long and it seems she’s taken her game to another level lately. She averaged 20.8 points per game this past week, second in the NJIC, and pulled down 8.5 rebounds and recorded 3.8 steals per game.

Melony McCormick, Lyndhurst, Sr

McCormick had a big week for Lyndhurst, leading the conference in scoring at 23.3 points per game. She contributed in other facets, averaging three rebounds and two steals per game in three contests.

Paulina Paris, Saddle River Day, Sr.

Saddle River Day and Paris lost their first game of the season to top-ranked St. John Vianney this past week, but both the Colonial Rebels and Paris bounced back in a win over Life Center. Paris, a North Carolina signee, scored a game-high 22 points in the 63-43 win.

Karina Pink, Dwight-Englewood, Jr.

Pink had another strong week for Dwight-Englewood, averaging 20.7 points per game, third highest in the NJIC as the Bulldogs posted a 2-1 record. Pink also grabbed 5.7 rebounds and dished out 7.3 assists per game.

Allie Shenloogian, Park Ridge, Fr

Park Ridge has been one of the best teams in the NJIC all season long and Shenloogian is a big reason why. The freshman has teamed up with senior Ella Madden to form a solid duo. Shenloogian averaged 17.5 points this past week as Park Ridge posted a 2-0 record.
