FIRST TEAM

Theresa Zeppetelli

Bogota/Ridgefield Park senior, 100 pounds

Zeppetelli (17-5) stands alone as the only two-time state finalist in program history. After dropping down a weight this season, she captured region and BCWCA titles and placed second in the state

Leeana Mercado

Lodi junior, 107 pounds

Mercado (13-1) was one of the breakout stars of the season after taking a year off from the high school game. She pinned her way to BCWCA gold and became the fourth state champion in program history.

Taylor Peterson

Garfield senior, 145 pounds

The Boilermakers’ star turned in another dominant season, repeating as BCWCA champion with three pins in under four minutes. Peterson (23-5) returned to the state podium by placing sixth, and added Queen of the East and Bloomfield titles.

Jenna Filieri

Immaculate Conception senior, 152 pounds

The Garfield native will go down as the first two-time state champion in Bergen County history after winning back-to-back crowns at 152. Filieri went out in style by pinning Ridgewood’s Kamila Castro, in 2:34, in the championship in Atlantic City.

SECOND TEAM

Ava Krzykalski, Lyndhurst/North Arlington sophomore, 114 pounds

Grace Riley, Becton/Wood-Ridge sophomore, 120 pounds

Catherine Weigel, Rutherford junior, 126 pounds
