I have been getting many inquiries this week about basketball uniforms – please inform your coaches that the following applies to our uniform regulations:
Home uniform jersey- dark color. if it is grey it must meet the NFHS  70% darkness on the grey color spectrum.
Away uniform jersey – must be white – light grey is not a legal uniform.
Shorts – can be any color but all team members must wear the same color shorts.
Arm Sleeves, knee sleeves, lower leg sleeves, compression shorts and tights are allowed. They shall be black, white or beige or the predominant color of the uniform top – ALL players must wear the same color. Headbands and/or wristbands must be the same color as the compression shorts/tight or leg and arm sleeves.
Undershirts:
Dark uniform- must be a single solid color similar to the jersey top color or solid black.
Away Uniform- must be white.
All undershirts must be hemmed and not have ragged or frayed sleeves. If they have sleeves they must be of the same length on the individual player. Player cannot have one long sleeve and one short sleeve. Team players do not all have to wear the same length sleeves.
Please refer to Rule 3 Section 5 in the NFHS rule book for further clarification and remember that the NJSIAA has the DARK uniform as being teh home uniform color.
Thanks,
