Robert Bianchi, New Milford, Jr., 165

Another week, another New Milford wrestler keeping the Knights’ perfect season alive. Bianchi defeated Ramapo sophomore Philip Strauf by 14-12 decision on the final bout to deliver New Milford a 32-31 win. The match was 31-28 coming into the bout, but the Knights won on Criteria G – most technical falls (2-1). Bianchi had lost his previous four matches before Saturday’s heroics.

Kishon Hamilton, Manchester Regional, Sr., 285

Manchester Regional has flexed its muscles to start the year with an 8-2 record and one win last week came on the efforts of Hamilton. The senior delivered the rare heavyweight technical fall (18-2) against sophomore Aron Colon in the match’s final bout to give the Falcons a 35-31 victory on Friday in Passaic. Hamilton collected a forfeit in a victory over Elmwood Park and a pin over freshman Christopher Romero of Lodi earlier in the week.
