Matthew Mitchell, Hawthorne Christian
Two straight solid performances on the lanes by Mitchell led Hawthorne Christian to a 14-1 mark going into the state tournament. The senior recorded his best game of the season (247) during the team’s 7-0 victory over New Milford. Mitchell also had a high series of 663 in the dual match.
Mia Da Silva, North Arlington
Da Silva connected for a high game of 207 and a 509 three-game series on Feb. 4 to lead North Arlington to an impressive 5-2 win over Union City. The senior also recorded a high series of 592 on Feb. 6 during North Arlington’s victory over Irvington.
