Wrestling: Eight NJIC athletes advance from Region Tournament to the State Championship

Over 3,000 wrestlers began competition in the District Tournaments last week. This past Friday and Saturday, 1,344 District medalists participated in Region Tournaments throughout the State.

Now, the final cut — 448 wrestlers have earned the right to wrestle in the 2025 NJSIAA State Championships, beginning Thursday, in Atlantic City.

126 – Devin Ryan, New Milford – Region 1 / 2nd place

144 – Anthony Moreno, St. Mary – Region 3 / 3rd place

164 – Elad Fronimos, Leonia -Region 2 / 4th place

175 – Derek Rodrigues – Region 2 / 4th place

190 – Redon Xheladini, Pompton Lakes – Region 1 / 4th place

285 – Mason Brancato, Pompton Lakes – Region 1 / 2nd place

285 – Gabe Jang, Leonia -Region 2 / 3rd place
