North Jersey Interscholastic Conference Players of the Week
Tyler Herman, Lyndhurst, Jr., P/INF
On April 25, Herman fired a complete-game shutout against Rutherford. He totaled nine strikeouts, bringing him to 47 in 31 ⅓ innings this year. This marks Herman’s second shutout of the 2025 season, doing so against North Arlington on April 4 as well.
Jack Spitaleri, Glen Rock, Fr., 1B
On April 27, Spitaleri hit his first varsity home run. It came at the perfect time, too. Stepping up to bat in the bottom of the ninth inning at Weehawken Stadium against No. 18 Passaic Tech, Spitaleri delivered a walk-off two-run home run to right field.This past week, drove in seven total runs, and is a .314 hitter (11-for-35) entering Monday’s slate.
