Jake Capra, Leonia, Sr., INF/P
On May 10 against Cresskill, Capra recorded the 100th hit of his career as part of a 3-for-4 effort with one run, one RBI, and one stolen base. He is now riding a five-game hitting streak, bringing his season average to .559 (33-for-59) with 12 runs, 11 stolen bases, and 12 walks/HBPs, entering May 12.
Nick Mabel, Wood-Ridge, So., 1B/C
Facing Dwight-Englewood in the Bergen Invitational on May 10 in the quarterfinal round, the Blue Devils nabbed a wild 13-12 win. In that victory, Mabel went 4-for-5 with three runs scored and one RBI. Overall this spring, he is a .397 hitter with five doubles and 18 runs scored, entering May 12.
