FIRST TEAM BOYS

Michael Napolitano

Hasbrouck Heights senior, 55 meters

A second-team selection in the same event last year, Napolitano won six of eight finals he reached, including the NJIC, the North 2 Group 1 sectional, Bergen County and Group 1 state championship, becoming North Jersey’s first Group 1 state champ in the event in a decade. The Marist commit just missed the State Meet of Champions final and his 6.49 personal best sits just outside the top 10 in Bergen history.

Yannick Fall

Becton senior 55 hurdles

Fall went from 32nd in the 2025 Bergen County indoor championships to first place in 2026 with the fastest time of any North Jersey hurdler. He moved into the top 20 of Bergen County history with a 7.66 clocking, and broke the eight-second barrier in seven of his 12 races at the distance. He also won the NJIC title, took third in the North 2, Group 2 sectional and just missed the finals in both the Eastern States and state Group 2.

Evan Yuzon

Glen Rock junior, shot put

Yuzon, who was the top returning thrower in the state from last winter, grabbed the top spot in the state with a 59-11½ throw at the Bergen Relays on Jan. 21 and never relinquished his spot. He won 12 of 15 competitions, losing only at the Ocean Breeze Invitational, Varsity Classic and Bergen championships. He snapped back with impressive wins in the Group 1 state meet and Eastern States before earning Glen Rock’s first-ever winter SMOC title with a huge throw of 60-9½, 10th best in Bergen history.
