The NJIC salutes Coach Antzoulides on her selection as Record “Coach of the Year.”
Rutherford‘s trip through the Bergen County and state tournaments featured avenging wins, and that’s what coach Helen Antzoulides will remember most fondly. The Bulldogs swept River Dell in the county tournament round of 16, and rode that momentum through to a Group 1 semifinal sweep over Westwood.
“That county game against River Dell just gave us confidence,” said Antzoulides, The Record girls volleyball Coach of the Year, “and it just put us on a roll.”
Rutherford rolled to a 27-5 season that also featured a 16-0 sweep through the NJIC Colonial Division and the program’s first trip to a state final since 1994.
