Secaucus added another 1,000-point scorer today as junior Julia McClure hit a layup in the third quarter of a 72-28 victory over Queen of Peace to join the exclusive club.
Despite facing a tough schedule this season, McClure is averaging 13.7 points, 10.4 rebounds, 4.4 assists and 3.6 steals for the Patriots. Along with fellow 1,000-point scorer Andie Lennon, the junior has led Secaucus to a 15-5 record.
As a sophomore, McClure earned All-Hudson County honors and was also named as a Second Team All-Group 1 selection. That performance played a large role in Secaucus’ journey to the Hudson County final and the North 2, Group 1 final in 2012-13.
McClure was named Second-Team All-Hudson as a freshman as well.
