Senior Mike Coss tossed a three-hitter and struck out 15 in six innings Tuesday, leading Pompton Lakes, No. 2 in The Record baseball Top 25 rankings, to a 3-0 victory over No. 25 Rutherford in NJIC Colonial Division action.

The Cardinals (8-2) only had four hits themselves, but scored twice in the first inning. Kevin Magee had two RBI for Pompton Lakes, which improves to 7-0 in the league.
