GLEN ROCK – Caroline Taylor’s recent return from injury has been key for Glen Rock, and her play in Tuesday’s 2-0 home win against Rutherford suggested she could end up being the Panthers’ most important player this season.
Versatility is Taylor’s hallmark. As a forward she was one of Glen Rock’s top goal scorers last season. The senior is even better as a defender or right midfielder.
“Coach [Tracy Trobiano] wanted to try [me on defense] today, because we didn’t want to discount Rutherford,” Taylor said. “I play those positions for my club team so I’m comfortable playing at any level.”
“We’ve suffered from an onslaught of injuries, and Caroline just came back,” said Trobiano. “So, she’s going to play everywhere.”
Taylor displayed a variety of skills and solid technique at the back against Rutherford.
