ST. MARY 40, QUEEN OF PEACE 0 (at Rutherford): Sophomore quarterback Andrew Brito threw for 241 yards and four touchdowns to power the No. 16 Gaels to an NJIC Patriot Division win. Senior tailback Keon Banks returned a punt 85 yards for his 10th touchdown of the season, and senior receiver Anthony Pontoriero returned a kickoff 95 yards for a score to help the Gaels win their third straight.

SECAUCUS 16, SADDLE BROOK 14 (at Saddle Brook): Senior fullback Justin Krause and junior tailback Evander Pons ran for third-quarter touchdowns as the Patriots snapped a four-game losing streak with a Meadowlands Division victory.

EMERSON 25, WEEHAWKEN 20 (at Weehawken) — Gianni Carpenter returned a punt 70 yards for a score and had a 1-yard touchdown run to lift the Cavos (1-2).  Javier Lopez had TD rushes of 13 and 5 yards for the Indians (1-2).

GARFIELD 21, ELMWOOD PARK 7 (at Garfield) — Kevin Buron caught a 45-yard touchdown pass from Alex Victorino and returned an interception 75 yards for a score, both in the fourth quarter, to rally the Boilermakers (3-0). Garfield forced five turnovers, including two Buron interceptions.     Eugene Figuero had a 20-yard TD reception from Michael Dare for the Crusaders (1-2).

BECTON 21, HASBROUCK HEIGHTS 7 (at East Rutherford) — Joe Penna ran for a 45-yard touchdown and had a 1-yard TD run as the Wildcats (3-0) topped the Aviators (1-2).

NEW MILFORD 37, RIDGEFIELD 17 (at New Milford) — Justice Witkowski carried six times for 109 yards and two touchdowns, and completed 4 of 9 passes for 93 yards and two TDs to power the Knights (2-1) over the Royals (1-2).   Jason Liska rushed for a 95-yard score for New Milford and had an interception. Andrew McElroy caught a 37-yard TD pass from Witkowski, had five tackles and an interception.

HAWTHORNE 43, LYNDHURST 21 (at Hawthorne) — Rashawn Byfield rushed for 195 yards and three touchdowns to lead the Bears (1-2). Quentin St. Hilaire had a 65-yard punt return touchdown and ran a kickoff back 70 yards for a Golden Bears’ (0-3) score.
