LYNDHURST – The Lyndhurst girls soccer team moved closer to an NJIC Liberty Division title with a 5-0 win at Ridgefield on Oct. 14.
With four games remaining in the division at the start of this week, the Lady Golden Bears held a one-game lead over Dwight Englewood and New Milford. Lyndhurst faced Dwight Englewood on Monday (after press deadline).
Against Ridgefield the Lady Golden Bears scored a pair of goals in the first half and then pulled away in the second half.
Jessica Failace led Lyndhurst’s offense with a pair of goals while Amanda Fulcher added a goal and two assists. Giana DiTonto chipped in three assists against the Royals. Sara Barreiros made a couple of saves to collect the shutout.
