* Freshman P/IF Jason Naccarella and junior OF/P Brandon Williams played a big part in Cresskill going 4-0 last week. Naccarella won two games and upped his batting average to .414 by going 6-for-10 with five RBI. Williams, the Cougars’ leadoff hitter, is batting .410 after a 7-for-11 week.

* Junior OF Jack Hines leads Hawthorne with a .484 batting average. Senior 1B Mike Deitrich and senior CF Ryan Vander Werf are tied for the Bears’ team lead with 10 RBI.

* Sophomore utility man Chris Silos is batting a team-high .530 for Hawthorne Christian and has at least one hit in each of the Defenders’ seven games.

* Leonia junior P/IF Andy Marquardt is hitting .778 (14-for-18) since moving to the leadoff spot and improved his overall average to .538. Senior IF Robbie Espinosa is hitting .483, including seven doubles, and has nine RBI.

* Lodi, winner of four straight, is getting outstanding production from junior C/OF Richard Fontanillas (.471), junior 1B Evan Geisler (.450, 15 RBI) and sophomore IF Elian Guzman (.449, 19 runs, five triples).

* Senior CF Ronnie Campos has been the catalyst for Pompton Lakes from the leadoff spot. He’s hitting .409, has a .618 on-base percentage, has scored 14 runs, and has five RBI.

* Keep an eye on St. Mary junior SS Joey Castellanos. He has 15 hits in his last 19 at-bats (.789), including two homers, to go with nine RBI, six runs and four stolen bases.
