1B: Rhys Bowie

Dwight-Englewood junior

Bowie batted an even .500 (35 for 70), and nearly half of his hits went for extra bases (11 doubles, 3 triples, 2 homers). He drove in 18 runs, scored 33 and stole 16 bases, and for good measure, the lefty was a top-flight pitcher: 2.53 ERA and 74 strikeouts in 38⅔ innings.

 

Utility: Alex Gomez

Rutherford senior

A two-time North Jersey gold glover, Gomez compiled a .987 fielding percentage to help the Bulldogs (19-10) win the NJIC National and reach the North 2, Group 2 final. He batted .402 (35 for 87) with 18 RBI, 43 runs scored and 26 stolen bases and plans to play at Old Dominion.
