NJIC Players of the Week
Daniel Maye, New Milford, Jr., C
Maye is the second New Milford player to be named NJIC Player of the Week this season, joining Kyle Dunne. This past week, Maye batted 6-for-10 with one home run, one triple, and one double. He picked up five RBIs over this span, tallying three against Saddle Brook on May 11 and two against Park Ridge on May 8. This season, Maye is hitting .348 behind nine extra-base hits, including three home runs. He also has 25 RBIs in 21 games.
Mike Riga, Pompton Lakes, Jr., UTL
In the Passaic County quarterfinals, Riga picked up two RBIs in the 6-5 win over West Milford. He’s driven in six runs over his last three games, including three against Hasbrouck Heights on May 11. This season, Riga is a .364 batter with seven RBIs.
