NJIC selections to the 2026 All-North Jersey baseball teams
FIRST TEAM
3B: Sean Spitaleri, Glen Rock
In his four varsity seasons, the Panthers went 90-22-1 with two sectional-final appearances, as Spitaleri racked up 135 career hits. The right-hander played both corner infield positions and really made his mark on the mound – there, he went 9-1 with a 1.80 ERA, striking out 92 and walking only 10 in 58⅓ innings this spring. Offensively, he hit .560 (51-for-91) with 3 homers, 31 runs scored and 29 batted in.
OF: Jonah Carbon, Pompton Lakes
The lefty leadoff batter helped spur the Cardinals to their second North 1, Group 1 sectional title in three years. Carbon, a junior, carried the highest average on the team (.424) and led the way in runs scored (32), walks (20) and stolen bases (17). He finished with nine extra-base hits, including a leadoff double in the Group 1 state final, and also contributed on the mound with a 1-1 record.
