Ranked #20 All-Groups -Pompton Lakes (26-4)
- 2024 resume: Pompton Lakes won the program’s first Group 1 state championship this season as the highest-regarded G1 team all spring. This team reached the Passaic County final and won the North 1 Group 1 sectional title. The Cardinals posted a convincing 14-4 win in the state finals, which was finished by a game-ending, bases-clearing double from an all-time great Cardinal, Nick Laccitiello. Tyler Benway had 11 strikeouts in five innings, a player who did it all 2024 (93 K’s, 1.49 ERA, 30 hits, 28 RBIs). Vinnie Stigliano led with 43 hits and 33 RBIs while Harrison Curran went for 43 runs and 40 hits. James Rodas nabbed 27 hits and Angelo Fusaro added 24. Justin Bolt drove in 27 runs and Jayden Villalta had 23 runs scored alongside Jon Popovich’s 21 hits. Vincent Caruso struck out 40 hitters, Stigliano had 39 and Villalta shoved 20.
