GREENBURGH, N.Y. — David Fizdale has named his coaching staff, and it includes a North Jersey native.

The Knicks announced Tuesday that Keith Smart, Royal Ivey, Jud Buechler and Pat Sullivan, who starred at Bogota, will be Fizdale’s assistant coaches.

“We’re thrilled to have this diverse group of high character coaches join the Knicks,” Fizdale said in a statement. “They are highly motivated and bring a wealth of basketball experience that will be a great fit in developing and building this team. All four coaches are tireless workers, reliable teammates and share the same intense passion to win.”

Howard Eisley, the only holdover from Jeff Hornacek’s staff, remains with the Knicks but his role is still to be determined.

Sullivan was an assistant coach on Doc Rivers’ staff with the Los Angeles Clippers for the last two seasons. He also worked for the Wizards, Pistons and Nets.

The former Bogota star played college basketball at UNC, where he was a part of three Final Four teams.
