Lyndhurst starts another streak

Lyndhurst (6-5) climbed into the race for the NJIC Liberty Division title with a trio of victories, featuring a 76-68 defeat of then-first place Secaucus. Junior forward John Rodriguez averaged 18.7 points in the three wins, including 24 against Secaucus, while senior forward Brian Podolski averaged 12.7 points.

Garfield enjoys big week

Garfield (6-5) won all three of its games last week, over Manchester, Pompton Lakes and Eastern Christian, and is off to its best start in several years. The Boilermakers enjoyed balanced scoring during the streak. Sophomore Zach Cook averaged 14.0, junior Elias Chery 12.0, and Nakie Graham 11.7, with the junior also taking a charge in the final seconds of the 44-43 win over Manchester.
