North Jersey Interscholastic Conference Players of the Week

Jackson Burke, Dwight-Englewood, Sr., G

Dwight-Englewood just picked up back-to-back wins and Burke was a leader in those games. The senior dropped a season-high 28 points in a 63-48 win over Columbia and then came through with 17 points in a 69-64 win over Saddle River Day. Burke has been the leader of this offense all season and has helped this team during a 10-5 start.

Jason Marasciulo, Ridgefield, Jr., G

Marasciulo has averaged 17.1 points per game across the last two years. This year, he’s become a better 3-point shooter and is putting up 20.1 points per game in 2023-24. Marasciulo had a big game last week with 18 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists against Bogota. The junior also had 27 points for Ridgefield in a win over Cliffside Park. Ridgefield has won six of its last seven games and Marasciulo has been the lead offensive force during that stretch.

Joel Walker, Hawthorne Christian, Sr., F/G

Walker is one of the top scorers in the state, averaging 23.2 points per game for Hawthorne Christian. The senior started last week with 22 points and eight rebounds against Eastern Christian. Then, Walker put together a triple-double against Leonia. The senior finished that game with 14 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists. He also had three blocks in that game. Walker has come through with amazing games this year, including a 36-point, 20-rebound game in a win over Palisades Park. The senior is also a soccer and baseball standout.
