Matt Kennedy, St. Mary (Ruth.), Sr., G
No other team in the NJIC has played a schedule similar to St. Mary so far. The Gaels have been led by Kennedy’s 22.1 points, 6.0 rebounds and 2.1 assists per night. He’s gone for 20 or more points six times in nine games, including against Seton Hall Prep and Christian Brothers.
Luke Kopczynski, Cresskill, Sr., F
Through six games, the Cougars are undefeated behind Kopczynski’s 15.3 points and 12.2 rebounds per contest. He has a double-double in five games, headlined by a season-best 21 points and 17 boards in the win over Garfield on Dec. 19. Kopczynski has 800 career points.
John Piccirillo, Emerson Boro, Sr., G/F
Leading Emerson to a 7-0 start this season, Piccirillo is averaging 24 points, 7.4 rebounds, 3.7 steals and 3.6 assists per game. He posted a double-double of 25 points and 15 boards in the win over Mahwah on Jan. 3. His season-high in points is 28 and currently has 922 points for his career.
