Emerson senior Landon Frank tallied a season-high three assists and four points to send the Cavos past Bogota, 8-0, on Monday. The Cavos have now won six straight games for the first time since rolling off eight in a row in September 2016. Frank is one of four Cavo seniors with at least five goals this season along with Joe Mancino, Ryan Balsam and Thomas Trimble.Garfield is one of the hottest teams in North Jersey with freshman Jakub Piszczatowski in net. The Boilermakers have shut out their last three opponents and outscored teams, 22-5, this season. Senior Jonathan Gutierrez (8 goals, 4 assists) leads Garfield in scoring for the second straight year. Centerback Sebastian Nitek has added valuable two-way play since returning from ACL surgery.►Lyndhurst coach Emad Abu-Hakmeh picked up his 100th career win on Monday in a 6-1 victory over Bergen Charter. Abu-Hakmeh is in his first season with the Golden Bears (3-2) after leading North Arlington from 2002 to 2010. Ali Celik helped him reach the milestone by getting three goals and two assists against Bergen Charter. Lyndhurst senior Enrique Mutsoli continued his scoring spree with his 12th and 13th goals of the year.►Waldwick senior Kyle Jahnke has been red-hot with seven goals in the last three games. Jahnke scored four times alone on Monday as the Warriors downed arch-rival Midland Park, 7-2, in an NJIC Patriot match. Goalie Patrick Kilgallen collected four saves in the win.
