NJIC Soccer Players of the Week
Field player: Pedro Barreto Reis, Harrison, Jr.
The No. 19 team in the state, Harrison is off to a 3-0 start and Barreto Reis has been involved in all three wins. He scored twice and had an assist against Hawthorne, assisted on a goal against Cresskill and scored once against perennial state power Robbinsville.
Goalkeeper: Kobie James, Midland Park, Jr.
Midland Park is off to a 2-0 start this year and James’ play in net has been a big reason why. In a 4-0 win over McNair, he made two saves and posted his first shutout of the season. Then, he kept Midland Park in the game, making a career-high 12 saves in a 3-2 win against Secaucus.
