NJIC teams in final rankings

7. Cresskill (Unranked): No question the surprise team of the season led by an outstanding coaching staff including head coach Chris Woodford and the ageless Rich Miller. Newcomers Joshua Yoon and Ben Klein helped the Cougars become the only North Jersey team to win sectional, league, county group and relays titles.

15. Emerson (NR): The small school breakthrough team of the year won the Bergen D relays and individuals titles, was a solid third in the North 1, group 1 sectionals and fifth in the state meet led by hurdler/jumper Tom Gibbard and SMOC triple jump medalist Nathan Storz.

16. Glen Rock (12): At times, winning the NJIC Colonial conference and taking second in the Bergen Relays C division appeared on the verge of cracking the top 10.

18. Hasbrouck Heights (17): Not one of the Aviators’ best teams, but they were good enough to win another NJIC Meadowlands title and were competitive in every meet.

23. New Milford (NR): The Knights scored a dramatic come-from behind win in the NJIC Liberty 4-x-400 relay to tie Lyndhurst for the NJIC Liberty meet title and junior Robbie Tormo made the SMOC in two events.
