Jaden Marchan, Leonia, Sr.
Marchan closed out his career with as N.J.’s best in the 400. The Georgetown commit was undefeated in the event, winning the NJIC, Bergen County, Bergen County MOC, North 2, Group 2 and Group 2 titles. His state-leading PR of 46.35 is also the fourth-fastest time in state history. Marchan also captured the North 2, Group 2 and Group 2 400-hurdles titles in the in his first year competing in the event, finishing the year with a N.J. No. 1 52.18.
THIRD TEAM ALL-STATE
Pole vault
Owen Keating, Pompton Lakes, Jr.
After only competing sparingly throughout the 2023 season, Keating bounced back with a monster junior season. The Pompton Lakes junior took off in the middle of May, winning a Passaic County title and hitting a PR of 15-3 at the Warwick Valley Fast Times Relays. The postseason saw him string together strong marks, as he cleared 14-0 to win his first outdoor sectional title and cleared 15-0 at both groups and M of Cs, finishing in third place in the latter competition.
