FIRST TEAM

Jaden Marchan

Leonia sophomore – 400 meters

It was a great season for newcomers and Marchan had a breakthrough year in the sprints. He tripled the 100, 200 and 400 in league and sectional competition and won the Bergen Meet of Champions 400 in a classic finish. He was third in the strong Group 2 400 and won Leonia’s second SMOC medal in two years by taking eighth in the 400.

Nathan Storz

Emerson senior – triple jump

As is the case for many of the athletes on this team, versatility is the key and Storz is no exception. He won six of seven meets in the triple jump, including the BMOC, sectional and Group 1 before taking his third medal in three seasons with an eighth-place finish at SMOC. He also won five golds in the 110 hurdles, including BMOC, won a pair of long jumps and even won a 100 title.
