Congratulations to the following NJIC athletes!

1st TEAM ALL-STATE

400: Jaden Marchan

Leonia, Sr.

Marchan was the one to watch in the 400 all season long. The Georgetown commit finished the year undefeated in the event, capturing the Bergen County and NJIC titles in addition to the North 1, Group 2 title. His PR of 47.41 also leads the state. He also has a wins in the 55 and the 200 at the Coaches Hall of Fame Invitational and wins in the 600 at the Coach Glynn Holiday Carnival and the Marine Corps Holiday Classic. Marchan captured the North 2, Group 2 sectional, Group 2 state and Meet of Champions titles in the 400 as well.

3rd TEAM ALL-STATE

High jump: Jordan Russell

Weehawken, Sr.

Russell picked up wins at the HCTC Winter Meet, the Ocean Breeze Holiday Festival and the Armory Hispanic Games. He also won the NJIC and Hudson County titles as well. He took home the North 2, Group 1 title in the event, The Group 1 state title and finished third at the Meet of Champions. His PR of 6-7 finished the year at N.J. No. 3.

3rd TEAM ALL-STATE

Pole vault: Owen Keating

Pompton Lakes, Jr.

Keating had multiple wins in the pole vault this season, starting with the Paul Schwartz Invitational. He also won at the Ridgewood Winter Games and captured the Passiac County and NJIC titles. He also took home the North 1, Group 1 title, and finished third at the Eastern States and the Meet of Champions, posting a PR of 15-0 that finished the season at N.J. No. 3.
