Players of the Week

Andrew Knight, Glen Rock, Sr., QB

Knight had four total touchdowns and 278 total yards of offense, helping Glen Rock improve to 4-0 on the season with a 35-7 win over Lodi. The senior played a part in Glen Rock’s first four scores of the game, rushing for two touchdowns in the first quarter and throwing two more in the second quarter.

Dakota Pinero, Palisades Park, Sr., RB/LB

The senior helped pull Palisades Park to 2-1 on the season with 205 yards and three touchdowns on 19 rushes in its 42-20 win over Emerson Boro on Thursday. It brings his season rushing totals to 324 yards and five touchdowns on 42 carries. Pinero added one catch for five yards and a 97-yard kickoff return for a touchdown in the victory.

Jake Renzi, Lyndhurst, Sr., LB

Renzi has helped Lyndhurst rattle off consecutive wins with strong defensive efforts – the latest coming in a 17-14 road victory over New Milford. The senior delivered with seven tackles, three sacks, one tackle for loss and a fumble recovery. It’s one of the top single-game defensive performances across the NJIC this season.
