North Jersey Interscholastic Conference Football Players of the Week

Billy Ricci, Wallington, QB, Sr.

Ricci completed 19 of his 27 passes for 433 yards and six touchdowns Friday when Wallington defeated Manchester Regional, 49-12. The senior threw touchdowns to four different players, including two each to Jordan Vega and Logan Torres. Through two weeks, Ricci has completed 78% of his passes for 658 yards and nine scores to help the Bergen County school start 2-0.

Ricky Rainey, Lyndhurst, WR/LB, Sr.

Rainey, Lyndhurst’s leading tackler last season, had five tackles, two sacks and recovered a fumble Friday when Lyndhurst defeated Elmwood Park, 47-0. Rainey also caught three passes for 40 yards and a touchdown.
