Chance Iacovino, Wood-Ridge, Sr., WR

Wood-Ridge’s undefeated season was in danger this past weekend. Trailing 10-0 in the fourth quarter, Iacovino ignited the Blue Devils to a comeback by reeling in a 66-yard receiving touchdown. He totaled 109 yards in the 14-10 victory, which gives him 491 through six games.

Aidan Maher, Waldwick-Midland Park Sr., RB/LB

The Warriors rushed for 394 yards on Thursday in the 42-7 victory over Pompton Lakes. Maher racked up 72 of those yards, and he also scored three times in the first half, including the first touchdown of the contest. This season, Maher has found the end zone seven times to help Waldwick-Midland Park to a 5-1 start.

Preston Pitts, Becton, Sr., WR

Pitts registered the first multi-touchdown game of his career on Friday in Becton’s 19-7 road victory over Lyndhurst. Pitts concluded the night with four catches for 82 yards and two touchdowns to pair with four tackles defensively.

Jorheny Rodriguez, Garfield, Jr., RB

Rodriguez ran wild in Garfield’s 38-0 home win over Lodi on Friday to earn Offensive Player of the Week honors for the second time in two weeks. Rodriguez produced 132 yards and three touchdowns on 16 totes to go with a 60-yard punt return for a score. He also added a catch for one yard.

Giovanni Trovato, Hawthorne, Sr., RB

Trovato needed just 10 carries to buck for 127 yards and three touchdowns to go with two receptions for 33 yards and another score in Hawthorne’s 35-7 home win over Secaucus on Friday. He’s now up to seven touchdowns on the season. Trovato also delivered five tackles defensively.
