Myles Balchan, Rutherford, So., QB/DB

Balchan had arguably his most productive game of the season so far, completing 7 of 8 passes for 196 yards and five touchdowns as Rutherford defeated Saddle Brook. He also recorded two tackles on defense and recorded an interception.

PJ Coffey, Butler, Sr., WR/DB

Coffey is Mr. Do It All for Butler and that’s exactly who he was on Friday in the Bulldogs’ 21-12 NJIC Championship victory over Glen Rock in Butler. Coffey ended the game with eight carries for 50 yards and a touchdown, three catches for 60 yards and a score, four tackles (three solo), several pass breakups out of the secondary, a 3-for-3 effort on PATs, and three punts for 109 yards.

Matt Heras, Bogota, So., RB/DB

Heras had a great game in Bogota’s 41-7 win over Lodi. The sophomore had 16 carries for 66 yards and scored four touchdowns. He also made five tackles defensively, one for loss, and he forced a fumble.

Joe Russo, Hasbrouck Heights, Sr., OL/DL

A phenomenal blocker on an Aviators offensive line that has paved the way for 2,175 rushing yards this fall, Russo posted a dominant effort on the defensive line in Friday’s 21-7 win over Waldwick in Hasbrouck Heights. Russo finished the night with a season-high 10 tackles (five solo), three tackles for loss and two sacks. The game brings his season tackle total to 57, his tackle for loss total to 16, and his sack total to eight.
