EAST RUTHERFORD – Becton High School’s Nathan Bueno said that he can credit his move to the next level of wrestling to the work during his sophomore season.
Bueno, a stalwart for the Wildcats/Panthers wrestling team, will be wrestling at York College in Pennsylvania this winter.
And he points to his work while a sophomore with then teammates James Dugan and Bryan Loughlin, both two years older than him and who are wrestling in college, Loughlin at the University of Northern Illinois and Dugan at Delaware Valley College.
“He (Mike Settembrino) would take James, Bryan and me into the corner,” said Bueno about his workouts with the Becton pair. “They made me 10 times better. I would not have done as well without working with them.”
