ENGLEWOOD – New Milford continued its hot start to the season with a 57-40 win at Dwight-Englewood Jan. 12. Bionca Chambers led the Knights with 17 points, who now sit at 7-1 overall, with a 4-1 record in the NJIC Liberty division. The Bulldogs fall to 2-6 overall and 1-3 in the conference.

Junior point guard Bionca Chambers tallied a team-high 17 points for New Milford, including 11 points in the second quarter when the Knights took charge.
A key to the Knights’ success was their quality of defense, said coach Dave Wilson.

“I’m happy with how we played defense,” he said. “We try to be aggressive and create some turnovers and that helps our offense.”
