THE STARTING FIVE: PLAYERS OF THE WEEK

Kierstyn Klingner, Leonia, Sr.

The senior finished with 20 points, four rebounds, two assists and two steals in a win over Wallington, then contributed 12 points, three rebounds, two assists and two steals in a win over Palisades Park. In a win against Bogota she posted 20 points, including five 3-pointers, seven rebounds, five steals and two assists. She then totaled 21 points, including four 3-pointers, and two assists in a win against Dwight-Morrow as Leonia won its fourth-straight game.

Irma Sanchez, Garfield, Fr.

The freshman recorded 18 points and 10 rebounds in a win over Ridgefield, then finished with 24 points and 23 rebounds in a loss to Saddle Brook. She posted her fourth-straight double-double with 11 points and 15 rebounds in a win over Manchester Regional.

Alexis Williamson, Midland Park, Fr.

The freshman posted 22 points, including four 3-pointers, eight rebounds and two blocks in a loss to Bergen Tech, then recorded 12 points and seven rebounds in a loss to Emerson Boro. In a loss to Waldwick she contributed 14 points, six rebounds and two blocks.

 

Jessica Carter, Saddle River Day, Sr.

The senior recorded her second double-double of the season with 19 points, 16 rebounds, three steals and two assists in a win over Dwight-Englewood, then posted 11 points, three rebounds and three steals in a win over St. Thomas Aquinas.

Victoria Coffey, Butler, Sr.

Coffey totaled 12 points, eight rebounds and three steals in a win over Hawthorne, then recorded 10 points and four rebounds in a loss to Glen Rock. In a loss to Saddle Brook she contributed a season-high 17 points, including four 3-pointers.
