Player of the Year: Alyssa Craigwell, Secaucus, Jr.

The junior led Secaucus averaging 19.9 points, 9.0 rebounds and 3.8 steals to go along with 51 3-pointers this season. Her 639 points this season were the second most in program history.

She posted 13 double-doubles and one triple-double and scored her 1,000th career point with a 28-point performance against Rutherford in the North 2, Group 2 sectional quarterfinals.

Craigwell helped lead Secaucus to a 29-4 overall record, a 15-0 record in the conference and the National Division title with a 10-0 record. She also was a pivotal piece as the Patriots advanced to the NJIC Tournament final, where Craigwell finished with 29 points and 16 rebounds, and the Hudson County Tournament final after upsetting No. 16 Union City in the semifinals.

Secaucus also won its first North 2, Group 2 sectional title with a win over Madison, in which Craigwell posted 20 points and 16 rebounds, then saw its season come to an end against New Providence in the Group 2 final, in which Craigwell finished with a game-high 19 points.

Coach of the Year: John Sterling, Secaucus

Sterling helped lead Secaucus to a history-making season this year.

Under Sterling, in his 16th season at Secaucus, the Patriots set a school record for wins with 29, won the North 2, Group 2 sectional title for the first time in program history and advanced to its first Group 2 final where they fell to New Providence.

Secaucus also advanced to the NJIC Tournament final where it fell to Lodi Immaculate 58-54, and advanced to the Hudson County Tournament final where it fell to Bayonne, 53-46.

With a 29-4 record this season Sterling now has 656 career wins

Team of the Year: Secaucus

Secaucus had a season to remember this year. The Patriots made history this year on a number of fronts, including setting the school record for wins with 29, winning their first sectional title and advancing to their first Group 2 final.

Led by junior Alyssa Craigwell, Secaucus won the National Division title at 10-0, advanced to both the NJIC and Hudson County Tournament finals, won the North 2, Group 2 sectional title against Madison and advanced to the Group 2 final where it fell to New Providence.

Secaucus only lost four games this season, to Old Tappan, Lodi Immaculate, Bayonne and New Providence.

The Patriots will lose only three seniors to graduation, including Daniela Peschetti (8.3 ppg., 4.6 rpg., 3.7 apg., 2.6 spg.) but will return a host of other players, including Alyssa Craigwell, who gained valuable tournament experience this year.
