North Jersey Interscholastic Conference Players of the Week 

Erin Fahy, Cresskill

The senior leads Cresskill, averaging 16.4 points and 9.5 rebounds a game, and is currently six points away from 1,000. In a loss to Saddle River Day on Jan. 5 she finished with 19 points and eight rebounds, then recorded a double-double with 21 points and 10 rebounds in a win over Dumont on Jan. 6. She posted her fifth double-double of the season in a win over Emerson Boro on Jan. 8 with 24 points, 10 rebounds, two assists, two blocks and two steals. In a win over Dwight-Englewood on Wednesday, she contributed 16 points, six rebounds, three steals and two assists as Cresskill won its third-straight.

Gabriella Micucci, Emerson Boro

The sophomore is averaging 10.3 points, 5.3 rebounds and 3.6 steals per game so far this season. In a win over Midland Park on Jan. 5 she finished with 19 points, seven rebounds and four steals, then contributed 14 points, eight rebounds and five steals in a loss to Indian Hills on Jan. 6. She totaled 15 points, two rebounds and two steals in a loss to Cresskill on Jan. 8, then posted a triple-double with 20 points, 11 steals and 10 rebounds in a win over New Milford on Wednesday.

Asya Akar, Lyndhurst

Akar is leading Lyndhurst this season, averaging 15 points per game. In a win over Weehawken on Jan. 5, she finished with 23 points, eight rebounds and six assists, then contributed eight points and three rebounds in a win over Bogota on Jan. 6. She recorded 12 points, seven rebounds and two steals in a loss to Rutherford on Jan. 8 that snapped a five-game win streak, then posted her third double-double of the season in a win over Wood-Ridge on Wednesday with 17 points, 13 rebounds, five steals, four assists and three blocks.
