Mackenzie Bua

Hasbrouck Heights senior

Bua’s outstanding high school career ended with a strong senior year that included 10 top-tens in 13 races and a 38th place finish in the State Meet of Champions. She won the NJIC Patriot and Bergen Group D titles, was third in the North 2, Group 1 sectionals, fifth in the Group 1 state championships and set school records at Holmdel, Graystone and Darlington County Parks.

Dominique Cameron

Leonia sophomore

Cameron made her first season of cross-country one of the busiest in the state, and she was one of the best. She won eight races, including the Bergen Meet of Champions, North 1 Group 2 sectionals and NJIC Patriot races. She placed ninth in Group 2 and had her best races in the State Meet of Champions, where she finished fifth, in the Manhattan Invitational, where she was third.

Tarikwa Dunn

Weehawken junior

Weehawken has become a small-school powerhouse in the decade since the program was established, and Dunn has played a key role during her three years. she won the North 2, Group 1 sectional title, took second in both the North Hudson and Hudson County championships and took fourth in the Group 1 and NJIC Patriot races before taking 55th at the State Meet of Champions.

Mika Tampadong

Becton senior

Last year’s breakthough distance runner had another excellent year with eight top-10 finishes. She placed second in the NJIC Colonial division, third in the Bergen C race, fifth at BMOC and seventh in the North 2, Group 2 sectionals. She just missed qualifying for her second straight State Meet of Champions, coming up five seconds short of a berth.
