SECOND TEAM ALL-STATE
Dominique Cameron, Leonia, Jr.
Though a back injury kept her out of Meet of Champions and affected her performance at groups, Cameron’s individual resume this fall is worthy of significant praise. She drove Leonia to its best season in program history thanks to her low stick abilities, posting eight wins in 2025. She won NJIC Colonial Division, Bergen County Group C, and North 1, Group 2 championships for the second straight season, clocked the 14th fastest time at Holmdel Park this year (18:36) and significantly improved her Darlington Park course PR from last year (18:07). She’s a terrific leader and has been influential in the development of some of Leonia’s rising stars, such as younger sister Daniella Cameron and freshman Eleanor Jang.

NJIC girls cross country Runner of the Year & other postseason honors, 2025

Another terrific season of cross-country is in books.
NJ.com went through every conference to honor the top runners, teams, and coaches across the state this fall that made their mark during the 2025 season.
Below, find our girls postseason honors for the North Jersey Interscholastic Conference.
Athlete of the Year: Dominique Cameron, Leonia, So.
One of the most dominant runners in the state, Cameron was once again head over heels above the rest of the conference in 2025. She took home her second straight NJIC Colonial Division title, leading a 1-2-3 finish for Leonia in that meet. She also was dominant within Bergen County, winning the Group C title at the Bergen County Group Championships with the fastest time across all divisions (18:12). She clocked a huge Darlington Park course PR of 18:07 at the Bergen County Meet of Champions, taking second overall. She also defended her North 1, Group 2 sectional title, taking first with a time of 18:12 — a 30 second course PR for her at Garret Mountain.
Although a back injury kept her out of Meet of Champions, Cameron’s Holmdel PR of 18:36 still ranked as the 14th fastest time at that course among New Jersey runners this season. She set that mark while finishing fourth in the stacked Varsity E race at the Shore Coaches Invitational.

Coach of the Year: Pat Rochford, Bogota
