The 2024-25 girls indoor track season is in the books, and NJ.comis going conference by conference and recognizing the athletes, coaches and teams who delivered most this spring.
The NJIC had great performances across the board from the early days of the season. This continued into the postseason with many of the state’s best competing at a high level.
Below, find our girls postseason honors for the NJIC.
Athlete of the Year:
Grace Dalgetty, Dwight-Englewood, Jr.
Dalgetty emerged as one of the top jumpers in the state this season among all three events. She excelled in the high jump, finishing sixth at the Meet of Champions with a mark of 5-4. This was just short of her PR of 5-5, which she set earlier in the season during the Beantown Winter Classic. Dalgetty won gold at the NJIC Championships before finishing second at sectionals. She will return for her senior year looking to improve on this tremendous campaign.
Team of the Year:
Hasbrouck Heights
