North Jersey Interscholastic Conference Players of the Week

Forward: Cali Terranova, Elmwood Park, Jr.

The junior has been out all year, but just returned to the lineup and had an immediate impact. Terranova scored four times in a week and also sent out two assists. Maria Altamirano was awesome as well for Elmwood Park, scoring six times in that same stretch.

Midfielder: Gia Mandile, Emerson Boro, Sr.

The senior came through with two goals and an assist in a crazy 4-3 win over Pascack Valley. Mandible has been one of the best midfielders in the area all year, but that might have been her best performance yet. Mandile has 18 goals and 13 assists overall this season.

Defender: Sofia Sujak, Dwight-Englewood, Jr.

Sujak was an all-division player two years ago when Dwight-Englewood last played. The Bergen County squad did not have a season last year, but it has come back strong in 2021. Dwight-Englewood has only given up nine goals this fall.

Goalkeeper: Yanci Zea, Saddle Brook, Jr.

The junior keeper made 16 combined saves in shutout wins over Pompton Lakes and West Milford. Saddle Brook needed every stop it could get in that win over West Milford as the team picked up a 1-0 win. Isabella Sarra scored the game-winner there.
