North Jersey Interscholastic Conference Players of the Week

Forward: Briana Andreoli, Hawthorne, Sr.

The senior is going to light up the scoreboard all season and the start of the year proved that. Andreoli already has six goals and is on pace to hit 100 career scores before the season is over. The senior leads a dynamic offense that also features Ruby Conroy and Sydney Hansen.

Midfielder: Gia Mandile, Emerson Boro, Sr.

Mandile is back out there making plays again this fall and she’ll be a player to watch all year. The senior has five goals and three assists through two games. Mandile put up 20 goals and 21 assists two years ago and it looks like this fall could hit that level.

Defender: Kayla Carrino, Lyndhurst, Jr

Carrino was one of the stalwarts on the back line when Lyndhurst beat Dwight-Englewood, 1-0, in overtime in their opening game. Lexi Augustyniak scored the game-winner in the 86th minute off an assist from Julia Anthony to give Lyndhurst the win.

Goalkeeper: Daliana Rojas, North Arlington, So.

The sophomore had five saves apiece in shutout wins over Becton and Wood-Ridge. Rojas also picked up an assist in the victory over Wood-Ridge in her first varsity start
