THIRD TEAM ALL-STATE
Javelin: Elanna Henry, Garfield, Sr.
Henry helped make up the North Jersey contingent that dominated the javelin this spring. The senior threw a PR 152-3 that won her a group title and ranked No. 2 in the state this spring. She won at eight of her 10 meets and threw better than 120 feet at six of them.

NJIC POST SEASON AWARDS
Athlete of the Year: Gina Minichiello, Hasbrouck Heights, Jr.
A basketball player in the winter, Minichiello was the MVP for the Aviators once again this spring as she starred across four different open events. The junior won sectional titles in the 200 dash, 400 hurdles and long jump to go with a silver-medal effort in the 100 dash to help extend Hasbrouck Heights’ streak to six North 1, Group 1 championships in a row. Her PR 1:02.49 in the 400 hurdles was No. 13 in New Jersey and her PR 18-2 in the long jump was No. 29 in the state. The 1:02.49 in the 400 hurdles won her a title at groups. In the 14 events, Minichiello won 14 times and went undefeated in the 200.
