CONGRATULATIONS TO THE NJIC ATHLETES WHO HAVE BEEN SELECTED TO THE

ALL-NORTH JERSEY TRACK & FIELD TEAM

Dominique Cameron

Leonia sophomore, 3,200 meters

The Bergen County cross-country champion missed large parts of her first indoor track season with illness and injury, but came back with a sensational spring season that ended one place short of a SMOC medal in the 3,200 meters.

She won league, county group and sectional titles, and ran a North Jersey-best 10:44.74 in the 3,200 in her third-place finish in the Group 2 state meet. She also set a school record in the 1,600 meters while finishing second in the BMOC.

Yasemin Ugurlu

Lyndhurst senior, triple jump

The javelin might have been her first track love but once she discovering triple jumping, Ugurlu discovered her forte. She won the Bergen C, Bergen Meet of Champions and North 2, Group 2 sectional championship triple jump titles, jumping a school record 37-5½ in winning at the Bergen Groups meet.
