FIRST TEAM
Emma Keating
Pompton Lakes junior – pole vault
Keating entered the year as an accomplished hurdler and she continued to improve in those events, scoring five major medals in the 100 and 400 hurdles and winning the short hurdles in the NJIC Colonial. But the former gymnast took up vaulting last summer and less than a year later is the State Champion. She won the league and Passaic County titles, was third in sectionals, second in group 2 and in the Rising Stars division of the New Balance Outdoor Nationals. But it was her clutch 12 foot first try clearance at SMOC that earned her state gold.
Briana Andreoli
Hawthorne senior – All-around
An all-Passaic soccer player and an all-league basketball player, Andreoli’s talent and versatility really stands out on the track. She won a league and sectional title at 100 and was third group 1, won league, county sectional title in the 200 and even won a league title at 400. She won league, Passaic, sectional and state group 1 javelin titles and was seventh in the SMOC and anchored the Bear 4-x-100 team that took Passaic, sectional and group 1 titles. She’ll play soccer at NJIT but that may not be all she does.
SECOND TEAM
Triple jump: Kiley Mironenko
Waldwick senior
