High jump: Jenna Rogers, Rutherford, Fr.
Before setting the state record with a dazzling performance at nationals, Rogers was third at the Meet of Champions. She cleared 5-8 three times before jumping 6-0 3/4, a height that broke a prestigious national freshman record as well as a 34-year-old state record held by Randolph’s Tatiana Smolin.
