WAYNE – DePaul coach John Zisa views the Spartans’ 6-1 victory over Pompton Lakes on April 12 two ways. “It gives our guys confidence to know they can win the game,” Zisa said regarding today’s Passaic County baseball final. “But on the flip side of it, maybe it angers [Mike] Coss a little bit that we were the team that beat him.” Pompton Lakes’ Coss, a senior left-hander, will get another shot at fourth-seeded DePaul (13-11-1) in the final game of his remarkable four-year varsity career. He’ll take the Passaic Tech mound at 10:30 this morning with 25 career wins, 307 career strikeouts and an opportunity to secure back-to-back county championships for the third-seeded Cardinals (18-4).
