HALEDON – Rich Sponzilli wasn’t the least bit surprised Terrell Griffin shot the Manchester boys basketball team he coaches back into the North 1, Group 2 final.Griffin, a senior shooting guard, scored 16 of his 18 points in the fourth quarter and two overtimes Saturday night to lead the second-seeded Falcons over 10th-seeded Mahwah, 65-59, in the sectional semifinals.
Manchester will play at top-seeded Ramsey, the team it beat on the road to win the sectional title last season, in another final Monday night.
